What to Expect

The “Ditch the Binge Eating Recovery” Group is an opportunity for anyone seeking support and connection on their recovery journey. The group allows members to get processing support and learn tangible skills through psychoeducation provided in each group. The group meets online every Tuesday from 6-7:30 PM and is run by LPC, Eating Disorder and OCD Specialist, Dalia Hinojosa, MS, LPC.

We utilize research-backed DBT behavioral skills and curriculum to blend open exploration and reflection with practical skill building.

Who is the “Ditch the Binge Eating” Recovery Group For?

This group welcomes adults of any gender identity who want to explore:

  • Understand definitions and nuances around binge eating and other eating disorders

  • Learn more about the binge eating cycle and what drives it

  • Learning more about the emotional experiences behind binge eating behavior

  • Build research backed mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills to stop the cycle

  • Rebuild community and trust in yourself and others at your own pace

This group is HAES- aligned , LGBTQ+ affirming and led from a trauma-informed lens.

Group Details & Structure

Led by: Dalia Hinojosa, MS, LPC

  • Format: Virtual group (telehealth)

  • Group size: Up to 8 participants (kept intentionally small)

  • Weekly Group Fee: $60

  • Format: Closed group, 6 month commitment, individuals joining during pre-determined enrollment period

  • Requirement: Group members must also be in individual therapy in order to join the group

How It Works

  • Free 30 minute session to ask any questions and for me to learn what you’re hoping to get out of our group.

  • $225 Holistic Intake Session - 90 min intake session gathering background information and treatment goals to help ensure rightness of fit, along with helping facilitate the transition into the group.

  • $ 185 Orientation Session - Treatment plan collaboration with client occurs, goals are set and group rules are shared to ensure smooth transition into group. Join dates are reviewed and client selects date for first group session.
