Experience & Training

I am passionate about helping people lean into the strengths they already have to create change. I believe that everyone is capable of growth and healing, and I am here to help provide a loving nudge or cheer you on when necessary.

Others would describe my therapy style as direct, caring and fun! I prioritize meeting you where you are and strive to create a safe and culturally sensitive environment for all of my clients. I am a proud Spanish speaker - offering services in Spanish and English.

My work is informed by Health at Every Size® and research-backed interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion.

My specializations include the full range of eating disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake or ARFID), body image distress, life transitions, anxiety and depressive disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I spent the first few years of my career counseling individuals and families at a family service center in San Antonio, TX and at the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient level of care at an eating disorder recovery center in Austin, TX. Both of these experiences greatly enrich and inform my work.
